Bids For A Cure is one of the leaders in highest unique bid auctions that raises
money to help find a cure for AIDs, Breast Cancer, ALS and Diabetes,
and also sponsors individual people who suffer from one of these diseases.
How Do The Auctions Work?
- Before the auction is opened the administrator will chose the maximum bid price,
choose the minimum number of bids needed to be placed before the auction will close,
and the number of bid credits required to place a bid.
- All participants must be registered as members and be signed in.
(10 credits for $10 – 50 credits for $45 – 100 credits for $80)
- Members will then use their bid credits to place a bid equal to or less than the max bid price
in US dollars and cents.
- All the auctions are blind so participants will have no knowledge of other bids placed on each
auctions.
- When the minimum number of bids has been reached, the auction will close and an E-mail will
be sent informing all bidders of the outcome of the auction, and the highest unique bid.
- The winner of the auction will be extended an offer to purchase the product and/or service the price
their winning bid.
- After the final payment Bids For A Cure will ship the product and/or service free of charge to the
winning participant.
- A unique bid is a successful bid that is under, equal to, or less than the maximum bid price,
and no other participant in the same auction places a bid for that same amount (Unduplicated)
- All bids (duplicated and unduplicated) are counted toward the number of bids required to close
an auction, but bids that are duplicated are disqualified from being the winning bid.
- Example
Member A places a bid for 7.57
Member B places a bid for 7.69
Member C places a bid for 7.63
Member D placed a bid for 7.69
- The highest unique bid would be 7.63
- Member B and Member D, who both placed a bid of 7.69, were
disqualified from being the winning bid because they were
duplicate bids.
